Will Seattle customers of DirectTV be able to see the Super Bowl or not?

All Cox stations are blocked on DirectTV in a carriage dispute, and because Seattle’s KIRO7 is Cox-owned and a CBS affiliate, watching the Super Bowl hangs in the balance

Reports suggest that less than two weeks before the game, the two entities have yet to agree regarding a new transmission deal. Cox has 14 channels, including regional ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX regional channels available in Boston, Pittsburgh, and Atlanta markets. If they don’t agree, blackouts might begin as early as Feb. 2, writes the Charlotte Observer.
