Canucks are all in for the playoffs after trading for Lindholm

The Vancouver Canucks have sent Andrei Kuzmenko and others to Calgary for Elias Lindholm. A deal for Lindholm had been rumoured for a while now. Today on the heels of Patrik Allvin signing a multi year extension as GM, he pulled off the rumoured trade.

Lindholm has nine goals and 23 points in 49 games this season. He was named to his first All-Star Game in January.

The 29-year-old centre is a pending unrestricted free agent, carrying a cap hit of $4.85 million on his expiring deal.

This trade is good for both teams, as Andrei Kuzmenko has not played as well this season, and he is been a healthy scratch on numerous occasions. It also shows the Canucks are going all in this season to try to win the Stanley Cup.
